And I finally made a camera strap cover for myself. I've been wanting to make me one for a while, and I finally just sat down and did it. Mine is the green one. The other one was made for my sister-in-law for her birthday.

Feel free to link back to my blog. You may also use my pictures as long as you give me credit. Please don't use pictures of my kids. They're all mine!

A baby gift and a camera strap
Here's the quilt I made for a baby named Maggie set to make her appearance later this month. Her parents like dogs, so I thought this panel was a good choice. Fabrics are all from Moda's Sleeptime.

Hello!
Well, let me start by saying that we haven't been on vacation all this time, although wouldn't that have been nice! Before we left, I was starting to get sick, and it went full force while we were gone, and for about two more months. Sinus infections, migraines, and other hideous things put me out of commission for quite some time. I missed a baby quilt/baby shower deadline! Luckily she had another shower last weekend, and the quilt was finished and ready to go. I promise to get pictures of it up very soon, but it is very similar to the one I made my son, but with the puppy dog. I'm also working on another baby quilt for a shower on the 29th. The zig zag quilt I posted about before is quilted. I'm just working on hand sewing the binding.
Hopefully I will have lots more progress to show you soon!

Vacation!
We are headed to Florida for a week. I hope to have new pictures to post soon after we get back. I ran out of time, and only got the beach quilt about halfway quilted, so it will have to stay home and get finished after the beach. Don't you just hate it when life gets in the way? Have a great week!

What I've been working on
I've been working on this zig-zag quilt this week, and it's ready to be assembled finally! I used this tutorial from Amanda Jean, and it's going pretty quickly so far. I think I need to get some white batting for this one. I've been using Warm and Natural, but it seems like most of you use white batting when there is white sashing, so I guess the natural might show through? I hope to have this finished before we go to the beach in two weeks so that the baby can use it to play on the floor of the condo!
I've also been cutting for the robot quilt for my other son. I couldn't help but sew one block together last night. It's the Simple Modern Baby Quilt from Oh, Fransson. I think I'm really going to like it!

My next project
Well, I've started cutting for a quilt for my older son now. It's the Simple Modern Baby Quilt pattern from Oh, Fransson. I love the fabrics, and even pre-washed them this time. I think I'm going to switch up the pairings a bit from the above picture, but I'm super excited and may even get the top finished this weekend since the kids are going to stay with their grandparents tonight :) Hope to have progress to show soon!
